Institute for Animal Health

The Institute of Animal Health (IAH) offers assistance with animal vaccines and diagnostics development, efficacy testing of antibacterials, anthelmintics and disinfectants to VICH- Good Clinical Practice standards under BS EN ISO 9001:2000. Routine testing for a range of infections exotic to the UK is carried out at IAH-Pirbright. A variety of diagnostic reagents are offered. Models of infection and a wide range of animals of known health status and genetic background are also available.

Genecom Limited works with IAH to combine technical, project and intellectual property management and the facilitation of seed capital to facilitate links between industry and Institute scientists. The Genecom team works closely with IAH and commercial partners to address their specific requirements using the resources of the Institute.
