Led by the University of Edinburgh and Interface - The knowledge connection for business, the pilot project will focus on the west of Scotland, working with key University partners such as the University of Strathclyde, University of the West of Scotland, Glasgow Caledonian University and University of Glasgow.
Through piloting the use of online events, video content, a digital publications list service and iPhone App, the project will build upon the strong face-to-face activity that the Interface team currently undertakes to influence a broad range of businesses as to the benefits of collaborating with a Scottish University for knowledge exchange.
OPEN Biz is a pilot Access to Resources project, part of the JISC Business and Community Engagement programme. These projects will see HE institutions take a leading role in facilitating innovation via integrated online service models with local partners.
The project will run from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011.
