Glasgow & Clyde Valley

Venue: Kinning Park Complex, 43 Cornwall Street, Glasgow

Time: 09:00 to 17:00

Since the first event in 2007, CEIS has organised and run the Social Enterprise Policy & Practice Conference annually in partnership with the Scottish Government. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Inclusion and Diversity’ and it will be held in-person at the Kinning Park Complex, 43 Cornwall Street, Glasgow, G41 1BA on Wednesday 7 September.

Digital tickets are also available for free for people unable to attend in-person due to geographical or accessibility reasons. Keynotes will be live streamed and facilitated online breakout rooms will be available for digital delegates to participate in group discussions.

Our mission is to make Scotland a better place to live and work with an inclusive economy. We believe there’s no other way for us to tackle the issues our society faces or achieve an inclusive economy unless we do it collaboratively, in a way that puts social value and social impact at the heart of what we do.

Local communities can, and we would argue should, be pivotal in addressing this issue because it is at a local level we find that wealth generated by workers, people, businesses and communities in Scotland’s towns and cities is flowing, overwhelmingly, into the pockets of shareholders with no connection to local life.

We believe that community wealth building is the answer.

For us, this not only means focusing on the communities we serve but looking after the wellbeing of our staff, ensuring they have the right support and systems in place for them to do their jobs effectively and for us also to ensure our enterprises are accessible to everyone.
