09 November 2016Edinburgh & Lothians
Venue: Moredun Research Institute, Pentlands Science Park, Midlothian
Time: 11:00 to 14:00
This free to attend event will showcase the latest technologies from Scotland’s universities and research institutions within the agrifood, environment, marine and forestry sectors and demonstrate how they are being translated into commercial applications. Not only will you discover the great range of technologies available from Scotland’s science base, but you will find out how many of these are being supported and the benefits they offer.
Hear about how the Genomia Fund supports early stage projects from Scotland’s research institutions to facilitate the commercialisation of their science into practical applications. A number of case studies will demonstrate how Genomia works across Scotland to encourage the development of new technology companies, licensing opportunities and the development of commercial services.
You will also find out how University Technology is making it easier for businesses and investors to find the latest university developed technology opportunities and the types of opportunities they currently have available for licensing and co-developing with industry partners.
In addition to a fantastic line up of speakers you will have the opportunity to discover the latest technology opportunities and network with the people behind the science in our exhibition area over a buffet lunch. We hope you’ll come along and learn about the breadth of work that is happening across Scotland to commercialise research into market ready applications.
