  • Specialists in solar thermal technology, Soltropy, have developed a solar-powered water heating system which will help dairy farmers cut energy costs and reduce consumption, using IoT technology to improve sustainability and efficiency. Interface have worked on several projects with Soltropy, including facilitating a relationship with Heriot-Watt University. 
  • We were delighted to learn about the £1million fund to help accelerate South of Scotland’s Net Zero commitment. The money will be distributed to a series of businesses and organisations across the South of Scotland to take forward innovative projects to accelerate the region’s Net Zero journey. We were especially happy to see #MatchedByInterface companies Eyemouth Freezers Ltd were included.
  • Three Highland museums are set to digitise their collections after being chosen to participate in a unique collaboration between XpoNorth Digital, Highlands and Islands Enterprise’s specialist digital support programme for the creative and heritage sectors, and Smartify, the world’s most downloaded museum app. Interface are proud to have worked with Smartify on a project, which saw them building a collaborative relationship wit University of the West of Scotland.
  • Innovation of the Year winners, and #MatchedByInterface organisation, Prozymi Biolabs are in talks with a British baker to explore the creation of a novel gluten-free bread. Their new technology looks to create gluten-safe food whilst retaining the taste and texture of the real thing. We look forward to seeing the results of this exciting collaboration.
